Global Development Group Project

Global Green

A Community Outreach Program for Leaders

Mission Statement

Global Green seeks to bridge the information gap between weak environmental practices and green practices in the workplace to encourage the transition into sustainable practices.

Overview

There is a growing need for public education that bridges the information gap between weak environmental practices and green practices. While the Green movement has gained more attention, most businesses do not have an initiative on how to implement this into the work place. Global Development Group has launched their initiative to reach businesses and educate them on the direct impact sound practices have on the environment. This initiative, Global Green, will match companies with available green resources and educate them on better environmental practices.

While there are several government funded and founded programs, there is a growing need for commercial enterprises that can collaborate with the freedom to quickly implement standards and information without the influence of special interests or regulatory processes. A momentum that strives to network and collaborate with new and upcoming development will ensure an even quicker networking ability towards implementation. The demand for sound environmental practices has reached a critical point and quick initiatives are essential to addressing the issues effecting the global landscape.

Global Green also serves as a spring board of entrepreneurial opportunity which will encourage the private sectors of both small and large production capabilities to establish relationship and foster collaborations. The encouragement of new technological advances, biodegradable materials, and sustainable practices will also encourage the quicker development of superior products available in the marketplace. Global Green will also develop a platform for advocacy and assist in the future exploration of environmental improvements on behalf of Global Development Group.

The philosophy of Global Development Group is that by educating the businesses where many leaders and entrepreneurs can be found then a strong impact towards the green movement can be strengthened and realized. This education initiative will discuss issues of landfill impacts on environmental conditions, chemical hazards in the workplace, and reducing the carbon footprint. Many companies are still using plastics, Styrofoam, and harsh chemicals. These practices lead to negative environmental impacts as well as damaging the ecosystem that sustains all life on earth. There is a great need for this education and the impact will be a change of habits away from negative environmental practices.

Materials are designed with pertinent information and graphics depicting sound Green practices. The presentations depict some of the current and projected consequences of poor practices. Product samples are displayed digitally as well as providing samples. Global Development Group utilizes all of the human senses to impact the thinking responses in community leaders and professionals. Once this program is successful within the Central Florida area, it is the intent of Global Development to continue to build on a larger market radius.

Products & Services

Global Green intends to reach the local area businesses with its educational program. Saturating this market is an important part to increasing our radius in our long term goals. Eventually we would like to make a global impact on environmental practices.

Global Green contains dynamic and static elements to engage business leaders and team members in thought reflections that encourage strong environmental practices. It utilizes a digital presentation that presents short video clips of environmental issues such as the Great Garbage Patch, Chemical Impact, and Industrial Waste. Other digital clips  include business professionals that have begun green practices along with innovative technologies that have encouraged green development. Several activities will also be used to engage the participants in a creative and collaborative process. These group activities include a project of developing a green home. Information dissemination is also implemented in an information package provided by the participating green companies. Here a directory of participating vendors is available.

The ethical considerations are substantial. By reaching a sustainability goal, Global Green will improve the life and environment of the planet. Many of the companies that currently have practices that are harmful to the environment may initially see this as a threat to their market. However, it is the intention of Global Green to also create an awareness that will encourage those companies to update their goals and practices to compete with those who are ushering in green practices. In this manner, it becomes a beneficial catalyst.
